Leadership Conference
The leadership conference taught me many values and attributes that I can show as a leader. The conference had a lot of speakers and they taught me great things about leadership. Two speakers really stood out for me. First was Hastings Boys High School Head boy / first fifteen Captain Joe. He inspired me to stand up as a leader and said some really strong messages like have a good attitude, have fun, make someone's day, choosing your attitude stood out and made me think on how I can improve my attitude. The other speaker that stood out was Paora Winitana. Paora, has previously coached me in basketball and has influenced me with his messages and how I can use the messages at home, school and in the community. Both speakers gave me confidence and messages that could help me in future leadership roles. The day was fun, inspiring, motivating and overall a great experience.

Buddy Writing
Me and my buddy Charlotte who is seven had to create a descriptive piece of writing using a image. Charlotte chose.
On the plane there is purple, white, pink colours on the outside. There are big marshmallow clouds that are coloured red orange and white. The wings are moving , people are looking out of the window and the jets are spinning fast making it windy. The plane is flying in the sky up high as the night was coming, you could see the sun setting. The plane looked like a purple bird flying up high in the sky.

Descriptive Writing
As I walked on the swing bridge I could feel the unstableness of the structure. Sweat dripped off me like a waterfall. I could hear the noises of the jungle chirping , roars , bangs and the sound of the wooden planks cracking upon my feet. The ropes were there for support but I felt like I had no security , my body was in shock. How am I going to conjure this mountain of fear but as time past I finally broke my barrier of fear and began to walk.. Step by Step, I brushed my hand along the faded white ropes, that had teared and had been a victim of the jungle weather and surroundings. I had finally gone over the swing bridge and was going to continue though the terrain of the jungle.
